All over the country school districts struggle to identify and serve students experiencing homelessness. This story from the Midwest (https://www.iowapublicradio.org/2024-10-16/its-a-team-effort-to-ensure-rural-students-who-are-homeless-get-an-equal-education?fbclid=IwY2xjawF8t49leHRuA2FlbQIxMQABHWoVVFx_YcDxq_rDMrP133WWDitx-wDRaEBvPxcFU_QdTk5i1hKbzFu3Kg_aem_5bEvLZbart9SKw6ipF7v1Q), where I'm getting ready to do a couple of presentations, is further confirmation.

What am I presenting on? The Three Melissas - The Practical Guide to Surviving Family Homelessness. Our new book features little known wisdom from 3 moms, all named Melissa, that I've met in my travels. It's a great book to enlighten and inspire those working with homeless families, as well as helping families who have ended up homeless.
