Pennsylvania's Podcast Supporting Students Experiencing Homelessness
Increasing awareness in our state!
Pennsylvania has augmented its work supporting students experiencing homelessness with a new podcast.
Center for Schools and Communities staff Melissa Turnpaugh and Matthew Butensky interview those with lived experience, experts, homeless ‘liaisons,’ service providers, and others.
These conversations help the public understand the great work being accomplished by thousands of professionals in the state to support more than 40,000 children and youth experiencing homelessness.
The Center works in partnership with Pennsylvania Education for Children and Youth Experiencing Homelessness (ECYEH) to produce the podcasts.
Our colleague at HopePHL, Gwen Bailey, VP for Social Services, is on Episode 17 of the podcast 'I Will Be Your Voice" Podcast. "The Significance of ECYEH Awareness Week, November 11-15." She comes in at the 14th minute of the podcast. But check out the other guests — they are just as compelling!
