Advocates Seek Action Supporting PA's 50,000 Children & Youth Experiencing Homelessness

Seeking $10 million

Educators, advocates, students, and legislative leaders spoke at a press conference November 13 to urge the Shapiro Administration and the PA General Assembly to add $10 million to the homeless education fund. We spoke with many legislative leaders, but didn’t hear good news. Apparently, the politics around last year’s debate over increasing the basic education formula will limit consensus-building. But we advocates are stubborn and will continue our work.
